Colors of cats can be related to things. Here are some.
Seasons:
Spring is silver-blue because the melting snow turns to water, and water's color is referred to as blue.
Summer is ginger because the sun is very hot, the sun is an important part of summer, and orange is a color connected to summer.
Fall is calico, because the many colors of leaves in fall, and calico has many colors.
Winter is white, because snow is also white.
Elements:
Water is silver-blue, because the blue color looks like a lake with the sun shining down.
Fire is ginger, because the fiery orange looks like flames.
Earth is tortoiseshell, because the mottled brown colors in tortoiseshell look like the earth.
Air is white, because white is close to clear, and you cannot see air.
The Clans:
ThunderClan is golden brown, because thunder is associated with lightning, and lightning is commonly yellow.
WindClan is gray, because the wind makes everything seem cold on the moor.
RiverClan is silver-blue, because the river flowing beside RiverClan camp shines, just like the silver-blue pelt color.
ShadowClan is black, because shadows are black, and sometimes associated with dark beings. I'm not saying ShadowClan is evil.
